Marc told us that the Cerulian Warbler (the blue bird) pictured here was based on one that had strayed from their normal habitat of Eastern Canada into his yard near Toronto. The dynamic between the interloping warbler and the territorial house wren makes a pleasing story. Colours and vegetation are very typical of autumn in Southern Ontario.
